What is your photography style?
The Asia Pimentel Photography style is focused on capturing meaningful moments as they happen. This is best described as a documentary style of photography as it allows us to preserve the real emotions, expressions and stories of your special day.
The words we hear most often about our photography are: Honest, elegant, caring, warm, intimate, personal and emotionally compelling.
However, every wedding and event we shoot is unique and we will adapt our style to match the kind of photography that the moment requires.
What is film photography?
As opposed to digital photography, where images are captured on a memory card, film photography is quite literally captured on film. Yep, like those old-school reels you’d have seen in movies or (if you’re a bit older like us) when you were a child.
Asia Pimentel Photography offers film photography (while The Studio is solely digital) as we believe it allows us to capture timeless, romantic, soft, and classic images.
Photographing with film allows me to slow down and be truly present. I am more discerning and intentional with every image I create, which means I am more connected and in the moment with you.
You can expect me to use a mix of film and digital when capturing your special story, depending on the moment and which medium I will consider that would give me the best results.
Your film photography will then be professionally scanned into high-res digital files - the best of old and new technologies!

Can I give you a shot list?
I believe that; the perfect photographer and client partnership is grounded in conscious collaboration. This is why I will always take your feedback, vision, and ideas on board.
With that being said, I do not shoot from very specific shot lists (except of course, for family formal group photos.) Nor will I copy other photographers’ shots, Pinterest shot lists (or even my prior work).
What I will do is expertly capture your special event in a way that’s as unique as you are, reflecting your special personality, story, and beauty.
What is a first look?
A first look is a special time when a couple can choose to meet privately before their ceremony.
Personally, I love first looks, as it allows me to capture a sweet, intimate, and precious moment between my couples before the chaos and magic of their big day truly begins.
You can say, “I do” to a first look, or stay close to tradition and wait to see each other at your ceremony. In either case, I will be there to capture your special moments as they happen.
Do you offer formal family portraits during your wedding day coverage?
Absolutely.

As part of our pre-wedding preparation, I’ll collaborate with you to create a complete shot list for your must-have family portraits.
This prevents any confusion on the day and ensures you get all the family shots you and your loved ones need.
How many photos can we expect to receive?
Great question! And the answer is: It varies.
On average, for a full eight-hour day, I normally deliver at least 600 images.
However, there’s no set goal for images. Instead, we aim to capture as much of your day as can, as completely as we can, while delivering the best of the best images that we know you’ll cherish and adore.

How soon after my event can I expect to receive my photos and film?
Trust me: I am as excited to deliver your images as you are to receive them. This is why I’ll get the entire team on-board to help curate, edit and perfect your images and film.
On average, you can expect to receive your images within ten weeks of your event. They’ll arrive fully edited and ready to print in high-resolution JPEG format via your personal, password-protected online gallery.
